ABEAM’s main objective is to contribute to the development of the Brazilian industry of Offshore Support to hydrocarbon and mineral exploration and production in the Brazilian continental shelf, targeting also:

a) action as representative of member companies involved in all matters which are, directly or indirectly, related to Offshore Support to hydrocarbon and mineral exploration and production in the Brazilian continental shelf;

b) Promotion of general interest studies related maritime hydrocarbon and mineral exploration and production;

c) Collaboration with government agencies in the design and enforcement of Brazilian navigation activities related to the support to hydrocarbon and mineral exploration and production in the Brazilian continental shelf;

d) Collaboration with professional entities, official or private entities directly or indirectly linked to the activities of hydrocarbon and mineral exploration and production in the Brazilian continental shelf;

e) Support to member companies for the defense of their specific interests, provided that said interests do not conflict with the higher purposes of the Association itself;

f) Dissemination of technical-scientific literature and promotion among member companies an exchange of information related to Offshore Support to hydrocarbon and mineral the exploration and production in the Brazilian continental shelf; and

g) Collaboration with government agencies and organizations to train and update technical staff and specialized labor for the activities of Offshore Support to hydrocarbon and mineral exploration and production in the Brazilian continental shelf.
